Zenawi's Reign of Terror may be Coming to an End.

The recent announcement by Meles Zenawi before Ethiopia's parliament that a decision on whether to stay in Somalia will be made within a month, his words, is an indication that there is no gas left in Ethiopia's tank. Zenawi, now happy to be called the butcher of Mogadishu for his murderous campaign, together with traitors among us led by the power-hungry warlord Abullahi Yusuf, often supported by his tribesmen blindly, have left no stones unturned in their cruel attempt to obliterate the Somali capital and its environs from the face of earth and bring its war-ravaged residents into their knees. Thousands of innocent civilians have been murdered, maimed and brutalized; their properties razed to the ground and eventually displaced both internally and across the border to neighbouring Kenya by Ethiopia's ruthless invading army. There is a sea of makeshift tents around Mogadishu and Afgooye town as a result of Zenawi's genocidal rampage. Zenawi seems to enjoy feasting on Somali flesh be it in Somali-populated region of Ethiopia, better known as Ogden, or Somalia proper. Aid agencies have described the atrocities committed by his marauding army as the worst of its kind - worse even than the much-talked Darfur.

Almost two years to that fateful coming ever closer, Ethiopia's war machine, bankrolled and armed to the teeth by Mr. Bush's Islamaphopic administration and some likeminded Western allies, often dubbed "the international communities', is almost grinding to an abrupt halt. It was always obvious that a country as impoverished as Ethiopia and often dependant on foreign handouts for its very survival cannot last longer in a protracted war against an unconventional enemy as elusive as those in Somalia.

Zenawi's treacherous lies about Somalia being a save heaven for Jihadists associated with Al Qaida, an organization the US can go an extra mile in its destruction even if that means slaughtering innocent civilians like those bombed in the lower Juba bushes by US planes, has turned out be a bogus sham. Quite simply, the US has bogged down with unnecessary regional conflict between two neighbouring old age foes. American policy makers, realizing this fact rather belatedly but unashamedly, at least in private, are now considering to turn off the tap on Zenawi's war efforts, leaving him no choice but to withdraw his demoralized and hapless forces out of Somalia as he cannot simply continue funding his war adventure in his own right, especially when thousands of his people are facing starvation. As many political commentators have predicated at the height of Zenawi's invasion in Somalia, the severely beaten but unconquerable Somalis are now on the verge of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Zenawi's much vaunted army is virtually holed in Northern Mogadishu and his brutish forces are literally sitting on their graves should they stay any longer.

The brave Somalis resisting the occupation, for the first in as many months, see the victory within their grasp. Ethiopia's invasion in Somalia is now at crossroads.

Although the EU was well aware the motives behind Zenawi's war in Somalia, they  simply  chose to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Washington's revenge mission to the bitter end regardless of the sufferings and miseries their policy had brought about to fellow human beings. By the way, who would have said no to the US after eleven September?  Venezuela's Hugo Chavez, perhaps.

The unholy alliances between our archenemy Ethiopia, the US and its allies as well as our own savage warlords have wreaked havoc and committed an unspeakable atrocities against the Somali populace, especially those in Southern Somalia.

With the prospect of Ethiopian reign of terrorist invasion nearing to an end and the possibility of Mogadishu becoming free from direct foreign intervention, we should ask ourselves what next for our brethren in Southern Somalia? The days of warlords and fratricidal along tribal lines must cease with immediate effect, otherwise your bloody long struggle against Ethiopian invasion will be in vain. You should say never to the dark old days in which you have lost almost a third of your sons and daughters and yes to a brotherly reconciliation without rubbing salt to the old wounds and evoking bad memories.  Finer pointing and blaming one another for our misfortunes should come to and end.You should never ever allow, even in your wildest imaginations, reconciliation sponsored by Somalia's scheming enemies, Ethiopia and Kenya, as you have had enough nightmares of such a meaningless so-called reconciliation. The good name of our people and our nation has been subject to ridicule by everyone on earth, both so-called friends as well as foes. Your fate will soon be in your hands. It is time to resurrect your lost soul.
